Jenny Nash, CPA | Chairman of the Board
Jenny Nash is the Chief Financial Officer of Nichols, Cauley & Associates, LLC. A Dublin native and alumna of Trinity Christian School, Jenny returned to Dublin following graduation from Wesleyan College. She has been a Nichols Cauley team member for 14 years and has obtained various professional licenses and credentials during her years with the firm, including Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and a Senior Certified Professional for the Society of Human Resource Management. Jenny is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Society of Human Resource Management.
Jenny is a graduate of the 2019 Class of Dublin Laurens County Leadership. She also currently serves as the President of the Heart of Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs, on the Accounting Advisory Board for Oconee Fall Line Technical College and as the Treasurer for Young Professionals of Dublin-Laurens County. Jenny is an active member of Dublin Rotary Club, Dublin Service League and Pine Forest United Methodist Church.
O.J. Hall | Vice Chairman of the Board
Dr. Otha J. Hall is an associate superintendent of curriculum and instruction with the Laurens County School System. He graduated from West Laurens High School in 2002. He attended Georgia Southern University where he graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in history education. He later attended Georgia College and State University where he received a master's and specialist's degree in educational leadership in 2007 and 2008 respectively. In 2014, he graduated from Georgia Southern University with his Doctorate in Education in curriculum studies. His dissertation centered around the influence of African-American males on the academic achievement and lives of African-American teenage males.
Throughout his professional career, he has worked as a history teacher at West Laurens High School from 2006-2011. During this time, he also served as the assistant boys' basketball coach and middle school boys' track and field coach. He then went on to become an assistant principal and head boys' basketball coach at West Laurens High from 2012-2015. In 2015, he was named the head principal at East Laurens Middle School, and was head principal of East Laurens Middle/High School in 2016. He continued to lead East Laurens High School through the end of the 2020 school year. He is a graduate of Leadership Dublin-Laurens County (2017).
Dr. Amy Duke | Past Chairman of the Board
Dr. Amy Duke is a school improvement specialist with Middle Georgia Regional Educational Service Agency (MGRESA). She earned a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education from Georgia College and State University. She holds a Master's degree in School Administration from the same university. Her specialist degree is in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. A doctoral degree was awarded for research in Curriculum Studies at Georgia Southern University in 2007. Her dissertation focused on literacy strategies and empowering teachers to improve instruction.
Dr. Duke has over 22 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. She was appointed to Governor Nathan Deal's Education Advisory Board for Principals and the Governor's Arts Learning Taskforce. She was named a 2013 National Distinguished Principal by the United States Department of Education, and is Past-President of the Georgia Association of Elementary School Principals. She is graduate of Leadership Macon (2010) and Leadership Dublin-Laurens County (2017). She was selected to participate in Georgia Forward’s Young Gamechanger program for Dublin-Laurens County in 2014.
Erica Bell| Secretary
Erica L. Bell is the Deposit Operations Officer at the Bank of Dudley. She holds a Master’s degree in General Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. She is currently enrolled at Strayer University, receiving her second Master’s Degree in Human Resources. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Georgia Southern University. She has also completed the Community Bankers Association of Georgia’s Consumer Lending School. She graduated Leadership Dublin-Laurens County in 2018.
Erica started in banking 9 years ago at Bank of America in Dublin, GA. Erica came onboard with the Bank of Dudley as a Head Teller in 2015. She later was promoted and gained experience as Customer Service Representative, Loan Processor, Lender and Branch Manager/Banking Officer. She brings hands-on experience in quality customer service, management and leadership skills. Erica is also a Certified At-Risk Adult Crime Tactics Specialist.
Brandi Dykes, CPA | Treasurer
Brandi Dykes is a CPA serving as a Tax Manager in the Tax and Business Services department at TJS Deemer Dana, where she began working in 2015. Brandi graduated from Georgia Southern University in December 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and later obtained her Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Brenau University. She and her husband, Justin, and son, Mason reside in Treutlen county.
In addition to her employment with the firm, Brandi values being involved in civic organizations. Throughout her career with TJSDD, she has served as a founding Board Member for Young Professionals of Dublin Laurens County (2016-2019), an Ambassador for the Dublin Laurens Chamber of Commerce (2018), is the current Treasurer for Leadership Dublin Laurens County, and is an incoming board officer to the Heart of Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Society of CPA's. Brandi is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's
Courtney Rogers | Programs Chair
Courtney Rogers is a Control Substance Pharmacy Technician at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. She has been employed at the Carl Vinson VA for 3 years now. Courtney graduated from West Laurens High School and earned an associates degree in Pharmacy Technology from Oconee Fall Line Technical College. Courtney and her husband, Scott Rogers, have been married for two and a half years and have a daughter.
In 2014, Courtney visited the Philippines on a Medical Mission trip by managing the pharmaceuticals and assisting the doctors on staff. She enjoys giving back during the holidays by helping with WINGS and the TLC CASA. She has been a part of the VA2k committee at Carl Vinson VA for the past three years. She is a graduate of the 2018-2019 Leadership Dublin-Laurens class. She is looking forward to being a part of the Leadership Dublin-Laurens Board and learning more about her community.
Debbie Frost | Alumni Chair
Debbie Frost is a graduate of Auburn University, and attended Mercer University. She is retired after working in the field of education for 34 years.
Debbie is actively involved in the Dublin-Leadership community and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Oconee Fall Line Technical College. She is also a member of the Dublin Woman's Study Club, is a Rotarian, and is a "True Blue" retired member of the Dublin Service League. She served as the co-chair of the 2018 Dublin-Laurens St. Patrick's Festival Committee and also served as co-chair for the Dublin-Laurens Distinguished Young Woman's Program from 2011-2016.
Her passion is facilitating women's Bible study and prayer, and she's most proud of her son, Austin, who also resides in Dublin and is employed with Dublin Construction Company.
Duana Cooper | Leprechaun Contest Chair
Duana Cooper is a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Curry Residential. She has been employed at Coldwell Banker for 2 years. Prior to joining their team, Duana was employed by Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta as Sr. Director of Operations for TNT Brand Creative and was responsible for on-air promotions and marketing for the TNT network. She was born in Athens, GA, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Duana is a graduate of the 2020 Class of Dublin-Laurens County Leadership and is looking forward to heading up the Leprechaun contest activities this upcoming year.
Duana and her husband, Lee, reside in Montrose with their two children, Kinsey and Rhett. Their children are active in equestrian and theater, and the Cooper family loves to travel, attend sporting events, horse shows, and spend quality time together in their home.
Elsie Stevens, CPA| Leprechaun Contest Committee
Elsie Stevens is a CPA/Partner with Christian, Kelly, Thigpen & Co. LLC. Elsie graduated from Georgia College & State University with a BBA in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration. She is a graduate of the class of 2018-2019 Leadership Dublin Laurens County.
In addition, Elsie currently serves on the Dublin Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Board, and the OFTC Accounting Advisory Board. She is married to Chris Stevens and they have two sons, Caleb & Noah. She is an active member of Dudley Baptist Church and Pilot Club of Dublin.
Payton Towns III | Leprechaun Contest Committee
Payton Towns III is the Senior Reporter at The Courier Herald, where he has been employed for the past 13 years. He came to Dublin after working seven years as a reporter at The Union Recorder in Milledgeville. He is married to Jill Towns. Both met and graduated from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. Payton earned a Bachelors degree in Journalism. The Towns' attend Dudley Baptist Church.
While working at The Courier Herald, Payton served as Sports Editor from 2008 to the spring of 2011 when he was moved into the newsroom. He covers law enforcement, courts and can still be seen in the press box covering football games during the fall. He has won multiple awards from the Georgia Press Association and the Georgia AP.
Whitney M. Kilgo | Marketing Chair
Whitney Miller is the Marketing Director at Morris Bank. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Advertising and Public Relations from The University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Whitney is also a proud graduate of the 2019-2020 class of Leadership Dublin-Laurens County. As a native to Dublin, she returned home in 2018 after working for a corporate office in Nashville, Tennessee for several years.
Whitney has been involved in several organizations since her return, including Relay for Life, Young Professionals, and she currently serves on the Georgia Bankers Association (GBA) Marketing Committee. She and her husband, Forrest Kilgo, recently married in September 2020.
Curtis Edwards| Alumni Committee
Curtis is a lifelong resident of Dublin and graduated from Dublin High School in 1990. Curtis has a Bachelor degree in Business Management and a Minor in Industrial Management from Georgia College and State University. Curtis is currently a top producing Realtor in Middle Georgia. He has also been in the insurance business for over 20 years and has experience working with both the corporate side of insurance and the small business or agency side of insurance. He has owned an insurance agency in Dublin for the past 18 years.
Curtis is currently serving as City Councilman at large for the City of Dublin and is currently a member of the Dublin Exchange Club. He currently serves on the Community Board of Directors for Capital City Bank. Call Curtis at 478-278-9179 for your Real Estate needs.
Keith Griffin | Programs Committee
Keith Griffin is a native to the city of Dublin, Georgia. After receiving his diploma from Dublin High, he dedicated the following six years to serving in the US Air Force. For Griffin, the desire to serve didn’t stop there, as he ventured out, into what is now his current position; Customer Service Manager for the Carl Vinson VAMC. In his spare time, Keith takes pleasure in refereeing, traveling, fishing, and having quality family time.
