Dr. Amy Duke | Chairman

Dr. Amy Duke is a school improvement specialist with Middle Georgia Regional Educational Service Agency (MGRESA). She earned a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education from Georgia College and State University. She holds a Master's degree in School Administration from the same university. Her specialist degree is in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. A doctoral degree was awarded for research in Curriculum Studies at Georgia Southern University in 2007. Her dissertation focused on literacy strategies and empowering teachers to improve instruction.

Dr. Duke has over 22 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. She was appointed to Governor Nathan Deal's Education Advisory Board for Principals and the Governor's Arts Learning Taskforce. She was named a 2013 National Distinguished Principal by the United States Department of Education, and is Past-President of the Georgia Association of Elementary School Principals. She is graduate of Leadership Macon (2010) and Leadership Dublin-Laurens County (2017). She was selected to participate in Georgia Forward’s Young Gamechanger program for Dublin-Laurens County in 2014.

Lindsay Black| Past Chairman

Lindsay Black is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Fairview Park Hospital. Lindsay moved to Dublin in January 2016 from Augusta, Ga. Lindsay earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Augusta State University. She has held a variety of marketing roles in both Healthcare and News Media.

 

Prior to her move to Dublin she worked for Doctors Hospital of Augusta, home to the nation’s largest burn center - the Joseph M. Still Burn Center - as the Marketing Manager. Prior to working at Doctors Hospital she worked as the Community Relations Manager for The Augusta Chronicle, the south’s oldest newspaper, managing sponsorships and promotions for over 250 events a year in Augusta, North Augusta and Aiken. She was named a Top 10 Young Professional to watch by the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and Augusta Magazine. She was also honored as a JAG20 Distinguished Alumni by her alma mater, Augusta University.

 

Lindsay currently serves as Vice Co-Chairman of the Dublin-Laurens St. Patrick's Festival, is a Board Member of the Young Professionals of Dublin-Laurens County, serves on the Literacy Task Force Committee for Laurens County School District, and is a member of the Dublin Rotary Club and Dublin Service League. She is a graduate of the class of 2016-2017 Leadership Dublin Laurens County. Lindsay enjoys traveling, playing tennis and creating.  She and her husband, Steven, live in Downtown Dublin. 

Erica Bell| Secretary

Erica L. Bell is the Deposit Operations Officer at the Bank of Dudley. She holds a Master’s degree in General Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. She is currently enrolled at Strayer University, receiving her second Master’s Degree in Human Resources. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Georgia Southern University. She has also completed the Community Bankers Association of Georgia’s Consumer Lending School. She graduated Leadership Dublin-Laurens County in 2018.

Erica started in banking 9 years ago at Bank of America in Dublin, GA. Erica came onboard with the Bank of Dudley as a Head Teller in 2015. She later was promoted and gained experience as Customer Service Representative, Loan Processor, Lender and Branch Manager/Banking Officer. She brings hands-on experience in quality customer service, management and leadership skills. Erica is also a Certified At-Risk Adult Crime Tactics Specialist.  

Brandi Dykes, CPA | Treasurer

Brandi Dykes is a CPA serving as a Tax Manager in the Tax and Business Services department at TJS Deemer Dana, where she began working in 2015. Brandi graduated from Georgia Southern University in December 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and later obtained her Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Brenau University. She and her husband, Justin, and son, Mason reside in Treutlen county.

 

In addition to her employment with the firm, Brandi values being involved in civic organizations. Throughout her career with TJSDD, she has served as a founding Board Member for Young Professionals of Dublin Laurens County (2016-2019), an Ambassador for the Dublin Laurens Chamber of Commerce (2018), is the current Treasurer for Leadership Dublin Laurens County, and is an incoming board officer to the Heart of Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Society of CPA's. Brandi is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's

Katy Morton | Programs Chair

Katy Morton is the Grants Administrative Coordinator with the City of Dublin. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia College and State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Georgia Southern University.

A lifetime resident of Dublin-Laurens County, Katy has over 15 years of experience in the community development field, having previously worked as the Director of Economic and Community Development for the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission and as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority.

 

She has been involved with many local organizations including Promise of Hope, the St. Patrick’s Festival Committee, and Pilot Club of Dublin. She is married to Nathan Morton and they have two children, Sawyer and Lily.  

Dr. Terri Young | Programs Vice Chair

Dr. Terrie Young is Director of East Central GLRS, one of 18 regional programs that provide training, technical assistance and resources to support the achievement of students with disabilities. Dr. Young is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She holds a Master’s and Education Specialist degree in Special Education with a specialization in behavior disorders from the same university, as well as leadership certification. She was awarded her doctorate in Elementary and Secondary Educational Administration from Capella University in 2004.


A life-long resident of Dublin-Laurens County, Terrie enjoys being an active member of her church, Blue Springs Baptist, and community. She is a founding board member of the Heart of Georgia Transition Alliance, where she is currently Treasurer.  Terrie is a graduate of Leadership Dublin- Laurens County (2017).

Keith Griffin | Programs Committee

Keith Griffin is a native to the city of Dublin, Georgia. After receiving his diploma from Dublin High, he dedicated the following six years to serving in the US Air Force. For Griffin, the desire to serve didn’t stop there, as he ventured out, into what is now his current position; Customer Service Manager for the Carl Vinson VAMC. In his spare time, Keith takes pleasure in refereeing, traveling, fishing, and having quality family time.

Courtney Rogers, Leprechaun Contest Chair

Courtney Rogers is a Control Substance Pharmacy Technician at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. She has been employed at the Carl Vinson VA for 3 years now. Courtney graduated from West Laurens High School and earned an associates degree in Pharmacy Technology from Oconee Fall Line Technical College. Courtney and her husband, Scott Rogers, have been married for two and a half years and are expecting their first child in July of 2019.

 

In 2014, Courtney visited the Philippines on a Medical Mission trip by managing the pharmaceuticals and assisting the doctors on staff. She enjoys giving back during the holidays by helping with WINGS and the TLC CASA. She has been a part of the VA2k committee at Carl Vinson VA for the past three years. She is a graduate of the 2018-2019 Leadership Dublin-Laurens class. She is looking forward to being a part of the Leadership Dublin-Laurens Board and learning more about her community.

Payton Towns III | Leprechaun Contest Committee

Payton Towns III is the Senior Reporter at The Courier Herald, where he has been employed for the past 13 years. He came to Dublin after working seven years as a reporter at The Union Recorder in Milledgeville. He is married to Jill Towns. Both met and graduated from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville.  Payton earned a Bachelors degree in Journalism. The Towns' attend Dudley Baptist Church.

 

While working at The Courier Herald, Payton served as Sports Editor from 2008 to the spring of 2011 when he was moved into the newsroom. He covers law enforcement, courts and can still be seen in the press box covering football games during the fall. He has won multiple awards from the Georgia Press Association and the Georgia AP.

Elsie Stevens is a CPA/Partner with Christian, Kelly, Thigpen & Co. LLC. Elsie graduated from Georgia College & State University with a BBA in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration. Graduate of the class of 2018-2019 Leadership Dublin Laurens County.

 

In addition, Elsie currently serves on the Dublin Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Board, and the OFTC Accounting Advisory Board. She is married to Chris Stevens and they have two sons, Caleb & Noah. She is an active member of Dudley Baptist Church and Pilot Club of Dublin.

Curtis is a lifelong resident of Dublin and graduated from Dublin High School in 1990.  Curtis has a Bachelor degree in Business Management and a Minor in Industrial Management from Georgia College and State University. Curtis is currently a top producing Realtor in Middle Georgia. He has also been in the insurance business for over 20 years and has experience working with both the corporate side of insurance and the small business or agency side of insurance.  He has owned an insurance agency in Dublin for the past 18 years.
